With half the squadron based out of Colorado
and the other half scattered across California,
it seemed unlikely this flight of fancy
would grow into a 19 song collection
etched into 2 slabs of vinyl.

But long ago, a band of lifelong friends

gathered at high altitude and dusted off wings.

As they crooned the drunken wonder of the cicada's

short season, songs were written and plans made

to meet again in the cool, bay air of Alameda.

So with watches synchronized, provisions gathered

and B3 organ procured, they left earth to walk

among clouds. Come thrill at their stunts.
