The Physics of Bass and the
Propogation of Sound
Alton Byrd - bass guitar
Geoff Shook - electric guitar
Jim Norton - vocals / guitar howling
Shane Hedberg - drums / guitar
This album was recorded entirely on location by
Peter Soper with a shoe-string budget (it was close
to zero shoestrings) over a weekend or two in the Berkeley hills. But not an expense was spared or corner cut in attempting to capture the perfect "feedback" waveform.
This tender collection of songs was written and
arranged in collaboration
It is safely said that sleep was lost, bridges burned, foundations shaken, dogs howled and plates shifted.
Some folks say the sustain of a haunting electric
guitar can still be heard on quiet evenings, when Jeapordy is on and people eat supper. No brushes
or sound damping was used in the making of this record.
It was mixed by Greg Linhares at Sound Temple
and mastered at Studio D by Mike Cresswell
Special thanks and respect to Carmine for making
it all happen for us.... and MOM!
